The OpenHW Foundation is home to a vibrant community that is building industrial-grade RISC-V cores that meet the demands of modern commercial applications like HPC, automotive, FPGAs, edge, embedded systems and IoT.

We operate under an open, transparent governance model. Technical decisions are driven by our Technical Advisory Committee (TAC), ensuring all projects meet rigorous industrial standards for verification and implementation.

In December 2025, the OpenHW Group joined the Eclipse Foundation and became the OpenHW Foundation.
